SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Antioch. Pseudo-autonomous issue, time of Nero, 54-68. Chalkous (Bronze, 11.5 mm, 2.52 g, 4 h), 65/6. Draped bust of Artemis to right, with crescent diadem. Rev. ΧΑΛ-ΚΟΥΣ Quiver. RPC I 4302. McAlee 111. Extremely Rare - only three examples cited in Coinarchives. A strong portrait of Artemis. Very fine.



This type is one of very few provincial coins to explicitly mention the denomination within the legend.
