SICILY. Akragas. 275-240 BC. (Bronze, 19 mm, 4.81 g, 9 h). Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. Two eagles standing left on a dead hare, the closer eagle has his wings closed and raises his head, the one in the back has his wings open and bends his head to the hare. BAR Issue 7. CNS 125. HGC 2, 156. SNG ANS 1132. Winterthur 599. Dark green patina. Some roughness and spots of corrosion, otherwise, very fine.
