KINGS OF SOPHENE. Arsames I, circa 255-225 BC. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 18 mm, 4.96 g, 12 h), first series. Diademed head of Arsames I to right, wearing bashlyk with beaded edges. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΡΣΑΜΟΥ Arsames on horseback to right, preparing to cast spear at leaping lion to right. ACV 2. CAA 2. Kovacs 2. Well-centered and very rare; in unusually fine condition for the type. Very fine.
