ATTICA. Athens. Circa 117/6 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 16.54 g, 12 h), struck under the magistrates Themisto(kles), Theopompos and Aristo(kles). Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with five horse heads and Pegasos. Rev. ΘEMI-ΣTO / ΘEO-ΠOM-ΠOΣ / AΡI-ΣTO Owl standing right, head facing, on overturned Panatheniac amphora; to right, trophy on galley prow to right; uncertain letter on amphora; ΣΦ below; all within olive wreath.
