BΑΣΙΛΕΙON ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ Crowned shield bearing the coat of arms of Greece with the Wittelsbach arms at the center. Rev. 5 ΛΕΠΤΑ 1848 Denomination and date in three lines within a laurel wreath tied above and below. Divo 23b. Karamitsos 68. KM 28. Very minor die break on the obverse. Graded by NGC "MS 61 BN". ΚοΡοΠΙϹ[…] ΚIΗT ΜΗΤΡ Zeus standing, left, holding patera in right hand and long scepter (?) in left. RPC IV.3 Online temp. 5798. SNG Levante 589. Only four known to RPC, all in collections and thus unavailable. About very fine.
