BΑΣΙΛΕΙON ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ Crowned shield bearing the coat of arms of Greece with the Wittelsbach arms at the center. Rev. 2 ΛΕΠΤΑ 1844 Denomination and date in three lines within a laurel wreath tied above and below. Divo 26a. Karamitsos 48. KM 23. Graded by NGC "MS 62 BN". Cert number: 2908897-012.

DYNASTS OF LYCIA. <i>Protodynastic Period</i>, circa 490-430 BC. Obol (Silver, 9 mm, 0.79 g, 12 h). Forepart of a boar to right. Rev. Tortoise within an incuse square lined by pellets. Apparently unpublished as obol! Cf. Falghera 49 (third stater), Müseler II 30-1 (staters). SNG Ashmolean 1141. Same dies as Vinchon, June 2019, 172. A scarce and intriguing coin. Very fine.
