Rev. 5 ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ /(owl) 1844 Crowned shield bearing the coat of arms of Greece with the Wittelsbach arms at the center; all within an olive wreath with ties below. Divo 10d. Karamitsos 113. KM 20. PONTOS. Amisos. Time of Mithradates VI Eupator, circa 85-65 BC. (Bronze, 21 mm, 8.07 g, 1 h). Head of Amazon to right, wearing wolf's skin headdress. Rev. AMIΣOY Nike advancing to right, holding palm branch and wreath. HGC 7, 244. Malloy 38. SNG BM Black Sea 1218-9 var. (no star in crescent). Scarce without 'star in crescent' on reverse. Somewhat rough surfaces, otherwise, good very fine.
