KOINON MAKEΔONΩN B NE around the weapons of Herakles, bow, club and gorytos with arrows; above, star. AMNG 823. Very rare denomination. Well struck, clear example with an attractive green patina. Good extremely fine.

AΛEΞANΔPOY Cuirassed bust of Alexander the Great to right, holding shield, his breastplate decorated with gorgoneion. Rev. K-OINON MAKEΔONΩN B NEΩ / EOC Lion advancing right; above, club to left. AMNG 839. Very rare; green-brown patina and with a powerful bust of Alexander. Reverse struck slightly off centre, otherwise, very fine.
