OVΛΠ NIKOΠΟΛΕΩC ΠPOC ME-CTΩ Dionysos, naked, standing left, holding cantharos and long spear; to left panther. BMC -. SNG Copenhagen -, but cf. 812 for a coin with similar reverse from Augusta Traiana. Komnick 13 (V3/R13). Very rare; most attractive deep green glossy patina. Minor cleaning marks, otherwise, very fine.

AYT K M AYPH ANTWNINOC Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla to left, holding spear and shield decorated with a gorgoneion. Rev. MHTPO ΦIΛIΠΠOΠO/ΛEΩC Herakles reclining left, holding cup and club, on lion walking right. Varbanov 1512 (same dies). Extremely rare. Interesting type with a particularly attractive and untouched glossy green patina. Some uncleaned deposits. Good very fine.
