SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Seleukos IV Philopator, 187-175 BC. Double Unit (Bronze, 23mm, 11.40 g 12), Ekbatana. Draped busts of the Dioskouroi facing, each wearing a pileus. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ Nike striding left, raising right hand to crown the king’s name; to left, two monograms. Le Rider, Suse, p. 327, 2. SC 1357. WSM 803. Rare. An attractive piece with a shiny, black patina. Slightly weakly struck and with some old scratches, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
