Youthful head of George I to right; below truncation, in tiny letters, BAPPE. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ Laurel wreath containing surrounding 10 / ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ / 1876 in three lines; privy marks bee (for the Mint Director, Renouard de Bussière, 1860-1879) on the left and an anchor (for the Engraver General, A. D. Barre, 1855-1878) on the right. Divo 48. Karamitsos 162, KM 48. In lower grades this is not an uncommon coin, but it is extremely rare in MS 66 as it is here. Graded by NGC "MS 66". KE [RO]-HΘEΙ / IC - XC Christ, nimbate, seated facing on backless throne, wearing pallium and colobium, raising his right hand in benediction and holding Book of Gospels in his left. Rev. AΛEZIωC ΔεCΠ KωNTANT (or similar) Alexius III, on left, wearing crown, divitision and loros, and St. Constantine, on right, in similar attire, both standing facing, each holding a cruciform scepter and together supporting a labarum between them.
