Charioteer, holding kentron in right hand and reins in both, driving slow quadriga right; above, Nike flying right, crowning horses with open wreath. Rev. ΣYPAKOΣION Head of Arethusa right, hair bound by four bands, wearing necklace; around, four dolphins. Boehringer 681 (V337/R459). Very fine.

Male charioteer, wearing a long chiton and holding a goad in his right hand and the reins in both, driving a walking quadriga to right; above, Nike flying left to crown the charioteer. Rev. ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣΙΟΝ Head of Arethusa right, hair bound in sakkos; four dolphins swimming around. Boehringer 712 (V347/R481). Struck from a very worn obverse die, but with a particularly nice reverse. Fine / good very fine.

ΣΥΡA Four-spoked wheel, two dolphins in lower quarters. SNG ANS 301. SNG Copenhagen 669. A charming coin of nice style. Beautifully toned. Extremely fine.
