MYSIA. Kyzikos. Circa 550-500 BC. Stater (Electrum, 18.5 mm, 15.43 g). Lion scalp facing; below, tunny fish swimming to left. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. BMFA 1473 = Warren 1536. Greenwell 113. Von Fritze 82. Rare. With an interesting obverse type, reminiscent of the coins of Samos. Small planchet flaws - not cuts - on the obverse and struck from a slightly worn die, otherwise, good very fine.
