ARGOLIS. Epidauros. Circa 255-250 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 17 mm, 2.65 g, 8 h), heavy weight. Laureate and bearded head of Asklepios to left; behind, Ε. Rev. Monogram of ΕΠ within laurel wreath. BCD Peloponnesos 1237-1238 (same dies). Requier, Series 2, 159-173 (D1/R1, these dies). Rare. Nicely toned and attractive. Traces of overstriking, probably on a hemidrachm of Phlious, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
