CORINTHIA. Corinth. Circa 405-345 BC. Stater (Silver, 21.5 mm, 8.60 g, 3 h). Ϙ Pegasos with straight wings flying to left. Rev. Head of Aphrodite to right, wearing Corinthian helmet with a neck guard; in field to left behind neck, rose to right. BCD Corinth -. BMC 130. Calciati -. Cammann -. Ravel 359 (same dies). A very rare variety, with the closed rose symbol to right; attractive, lightly toned, clear and of good style. Very minor marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
