Romanus IV Diogenes, with Eudocia, Michael VII, Constantius, and Andronicus, 1068-1071. Histamenon (Gold, 17 mm, 4.39 g, 6 h), Constantinople. KΩN MX ANΔ Three figures, each standing, facing: at the center, Michael holding labarum in his right hand and akakia in left; to his left and right, Constantius and Andronicus, each holding globus cruciger and akakia. Rev. + RωMANS - EYΔOΠτM Christ standing facing on footstool, crowning Romanus and Eudocia, each standing, facing and holding a globus cruciger. DOC 2. SB 1861. Well-centered but struck with either slightly worn dies or perhaps a bit softly, surface abrasions and a few light scratches, otherwise, very fine.
