CELTIC, Central Europe. Boii. 2nd-1st centuries BC. 1/8 Stater (Gold, 9 mm, 0.99 g). Plain bulge, which is devolved from a head of Athena to right, wearing a rested Corinthian helmet. Rev. Debased legend composed of pellets Athena Alkis striding to left, with shield and spear; below left, N. Dembski 498-499. Lanz 36-7. Paulsen pl. 7, 146-7. Struck from worn dies, typical for type, otherwise, good fine.

CELTIC, Central Europe. Vindelici. Early 1st century BC. Stater (Gold, 18 mm, 7.48 g, 7 h), "Regenbogenschüsselchen" type. Head of an eagle to left with a pellet above and below the beak; the whole within a wreath-like torc with an annulet at each end. Rev. Three pellets within a solid torque with a pellet at each end; all within cup-shaped incuse. De la Tour 9430. Kellner type IIA. KMW 444. Light scrape on obverse, otherwise, nearly very fine.
