Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 4.09 g, 9 h), under the moneyer P. Petronius Turpilianus, Rome , 19-18 BC. TVRPILIANVS III•VIR• Head of Liber to right, wearing ivy-wreath. Rev. CAESAR•AVGVSTVS SIGN•RECE• Parthian kneeling in submission to right, holding out a standard with a vexillum inscribed with X. BMC 10. Cohen 485. RIC² 287. Toned; with an amazingly fine head of the kneeling Parthian which really reminds Antonine portraits. With bankers's marks on the obverse and reverse, and some minor scratches on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
