[AFR FA MA]X COS PROCOS VII VIR [EPVLO] Bare head of Fabius Africanus to right. Rev. C LIV[IN GALL]VS Q PRO PR Elephant advancing to left, trampling on serpent. MAA 92. RPC 781. Very rare and with an important private portrait of Augustan date. One of about a dozen known examples, of which 9 are cited in the RPC. Struck off-center and with a flan fault on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
