IONIA. Ephesos. Circa 600-550 BC. Trite (Electrum, 10 mm, 4.77 g). Bee of primitive form. Rev. Two irregular incuse squares. Karwiese Series II.1, Type 2, 8 = Rosen 257, and CNG 100, 2015, 1443 (struck from the same obverse die and reverse punches). Struck at the dawn of coinage, and of primitive workmanship. Very fine.
