THESSALY. Pharsalos. Mid-late 5th century BC. Obol (Silver, 11 mm, 0.95 g, 12 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet and drop earring. Rev. ΦAPΣ Horse's head to right. BCD II 633. HGC 4, 640. Lavva 20 (V13?/R6). Nicely centered and clear. Usual rough surfaces, otherwise, very fine.

THESSALY. Pharsalos. Early to mid 4th Century BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, plated, 15 mm, 2.36 g, 3 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet with raised cheek flaps and adorned with scrolls and olive twigs; T above IΠ behind neck. Rev. Φ-A-P-Σ (the last two letters retrograde) Horse’s head and neck right in concave field. BCD II 655 (for prototype). Lavva 124. A very deceiving, contemporary, plated hemidrachm of fine style. Plating defects behind neck and above visor, otherwise, good very fine.

KORKYRA. Korkyra. Circa 510-480 BC. Stater (Silver, 19.5 mm, 10.89 g). Cow standing right, her head turned back to left to lick calf suckling to left. Rev. Double stellate pattern – one with a square and the other with a rectangle at its center – within a double inear rectangle; all within an incuse square. BMC 39. McClean 5202. SNG Copenhagen 141. SNG Evelpidis 1868. Lightly toned and clear. Slightly off-center reverse, otherwise, very fine.
