THESSALY. Methylion. First half of the 4th century BC. Trihemiobol (Silver, 14.5 mm, 1.08 g, 12 h). Youthful male diademed head to right, with short, wavy hair. Rev. ΜΕΘΥΛΙ / ΕΙΩΝ Female figure (Hera or a nymph?) wearing long robes, seated right on high-backed throne, holding long staff in her right hand and resting her left on the neck of a bull standing right behind her. BCD Thessaly II 464 (same dies). Heyman -. Extremely rare, especially so clear and legible. Porous as usual, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
