MYSIA. Lampsakos. Circa 500-450 BC. Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 4.45 g, 9 h). Late archaic janiform female heads wearing double stephane and a single rosette earring. Rev. Head of Athena to left, wearing Corinthian helment; behind, kerykeion; all within incuse square. Baldwin, Lampsakos, Group A, Type II, pl. V, 23. SNG France 1124. A very pleasing specimen. Minor double strike on reverse and somewhat porous surfaces, otherwise, very fine.
