BAΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated to left on throne with a back decorated with two flying Nikae, holding eagle on his outstretched right hand and long scepter in his left; to left, cornucopia; below throne, NO. Noe 35. Price 691. With a most attractive reverse. Obverse struck from the worn, as usual, Noe A73 die, otherwise, good very fine.

Head of youthful Herakles in lion's skin headdress to right. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated to left on throne, holding eagle on his outstretched right hand and long scepter in his left; to left, Phrygian helmet with griffin crest right. Müller 855. Price 872. A well struck, nicely toned coin with a bold portrait and sharp details on the reverse. Nearly very fine.
