Head of youthful Herakles in lion's skin headdress to right. Rev. ΒAΣIΛEΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated to left on throne, holding eagle on his outstretched right hand and long scepter in his left; below throne, ΔΙ. Demanhur 1925-8. Price 2948. Same obverse die as CNG e-auction 161, 28 March 2007, 32, an example of Price 2949. Rare and interesting; the only known example that die-links Price 2948 and 2949. Very fine.

Head of Herakles in lion's skin head-dress to right; before, kerykeion. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPOY flanked by bow in case and club; above, kerykeion. Newell, Tarsos 46. Price 3061. Of unusually fine condition and with a lovely dark patina; particularly uncommon with a symbol on the obverse. Very fine.
