Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet with raised cheek pieces; in tiny letters behind neck, T[H]. Rev. Φ-A / P-Σ (last two letters retrograde) Thessalian cavalryman riding horse prancing to right, wearing petasos, chlamys and chiton, and holding a lagobolon over his right shoulder; in exergue, TH. Thessalos to right, bearded and naked, his petasos on his back, behind the forepart of a bull leaping right, holding a band with both hands under the horns of the animal. Rev. Θ-E-R-A-I Forepart of bridled horse right; to left above, lion’s head fountain spout with water pouring from its mouth; all within incuse square. BCD I -.
