Antioch. Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. Dupondius (Bronze, 25mm, 13.31 g 12), c. 5-12. IMP AVGVST TR POT Laureate head of Augustus to right. Rev. S C in wreath tied at the bottom. McAlee 208b. RPC 4264. An attractive piece with a powerful portrait and a dark, green-black patina with earthen highlights. Good very fine.

Laodiceia ad Mare. Domitian, 81-96. Dupondius (Bronze, 25mm, 12.54 g 12), year 132 = 84/5. [ΔΟΜΕΤ]ΙΑΝΩ ΚΑΙCΑΡΙ CΕΒΑCΤΩ ΓΕΡ[ΜΑΝΙΚΩ] Laureate head of Domitian to right; to left, ΒΛΡ. Rev. [ΙΟΥΛΙΕΩΝ ΤΩΝ] ΚΑΙ ΛΑΟΔΙΚΕΩΝ Turreted, veiled and draped bust of Tyche to right, between and ΧΑ ΠΑ. RPC II, 2029. A bold and attractive coin with a glossy black patina. Struck on a short flan, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.

L ΙΔ Trajan, standing right, togate and holding eagle-tipped staff and branch, riding in quadriga of elephants to right. RPC III 4510.1. A bold and attractive coin with a fine brown patina with green highlights. extremely fine.

Caesarea. Hadrian, 117-138. Hemidrachm (Silver, 15mm, 2.00 g 12), year 4 = 119/120. ΑΥΤΟ ΚΑΙC ΤΡΑΙ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟC CΕΒΑCΤ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Hadrian to right. Rev. ΕΤ Δ Nike moving right, holding wreath and palm. RPC III 3075. Sydenham 256. An amazingly sharp and well struck example, with a portrait in high relief. Some traces of corrosion, otherwise, good extremely fine.

Alexandria. Hadrian, 117-138. Drachm (Bronze, 35mm, 23.77 g 12), year 13 = 128/129. ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙC ΤΡΑΙ ΑΔΡΙΑ CΕΒ Laaureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Hadrian to right. Rev. L ΤΡΙCΚΑΙ Nilus reclining left on a crocodile, holding cornucopiae and reed; above ΙϚ. RPC III 5730. Bold, and with a dark brown patina. Areas of flat strike, otherwise, about extremely fine.

Alexandria. Hadrian, 117-138. Drachm (Silver, 33mm, 26.37 g 12), year 19 = 134/135. ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙC ΤΡΑΙΑΝ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟC CΕΒ Laaureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Hadrian to right, seen from the rear. Rev. L ΕΝΝΕΑ Κ Δ Aesclepius standing facing, turned slightly to the left and with head turned to the left, holding serpent staff with his right hand. RPC III 5957. Rare in such nice condition. Golden-tan patina. Good very fine.

ΔΗΜΑΡΧ ΕΞ ΥΠΑΤΟC Γ Eagle standing facing with spread wings, his head turned to left with a wreath in his beak; between legs, eight-rayed star. Prieur 1140. Lightly toned and with a fine portrait. About extremely fine.

Lightly toned and with a remarkable portrait. Extremely fine.

ΑΝΤΙΟΧΕΩΝ ΜΗΤ ΚΟΛ / Δ - Ε / S - C The Tyche of Antioch seated on rocks to left; below her, river-god Orontes swimming to left; above her head, ram to left; in field above left, crescent. BMC457. McAlee 807(c). Attractive dark greenish-brown patina. Minor marks and areas of flat-striking, otherwise. Nearly extremely fine.

Berytus. Elagabalus, 218-222. 8 Assaria (Bronze, 30mm, 22.55 g 12). IMP CAES M AVR ANTONINVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus to right. Rev. COL IVL AVG FEL / BER Tetrastyle temple of Astarte, with numerous figures inside and on the roof; below, flanking the entrance causeway, putti on dolphins. BMC 175 ff. Well-struck with a good portrait and an attractive golden-tan patina with green highlights. Some minor scratches, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
