Solidus (Gold, 20 mm, 4.35 g, 5 h), D N PLA VALENTI-NIANVS P F AVG Rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Valentinian III to right; above the top of his head, ⊕. Rev. VICTORIA AVGGG / R - V / COMOB Valentinian III standing facing, his right foot set on a human-headed serpent, holding a long cross in his right hand and Victory on globe with his left. RIC 3715. An interesting imitation. Very fine.
