Sicily, Syracuse. c. 470 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 19mm, 8.64 g 4). Nude and bearded horseman riding to right, leading a spare horse to his left. Rev. ΣΥΡΑ - ΚΟΣ - ΙΟΝ Head of Arethusa to right, wearing necklace and pearl diadem, her hair tied up in a krobylos that is bound up and falls over the diadem; around, three dolphins swimming clockwise.
