ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ ΤΩΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ E(= Essai) 1877 Mature head of George I to left; below truncation, in tiny letters, BAPPE. Rev. Laurel wreath tied below, containing ΔΙΩΒΟΛΟΝ / 10 / ΛΕΠΤΑ in three lines; below denomination, ESSAI flanked by two anchors (privy mark of the Engraver General, A. D. Barre, 1855-1878). Divo P89. L / IB Elpis advancing left, holding flower in right hand and rising hem of skirt with left; at feet to left, palm branch. Dattari (Savio) 5332. Geissen 2970. Well centered and quite lovely. Light deposits, otherwise, extremely fine.
