Rev. 1 ΛΕΠΤON 1849 Denomination and date in three lines within a laurel wreath tied above and below. Divo 31c. Karamitsos 36. KM 26. Graded by NGC "VF details / environmental damage". MESSENIA. Mothone. Geta, as Caesar, 198-209. Assarion (Bronze, 20 mm, 5.25 g, 2 h). ΛOY CEΠ ΓETAC [--] Draped and cuirassed bust of Geta to right. Rev. MOΘΩNAI[ΩN] Dionysos(?) standing left, holding jug and thyrsus; to right, herm. Apparently unpublished type, save for an auction appearance, Roma 63E, 2019, 529 (same dies). Extremely rare and interesting type. About very fine.
