Phoenix with spread wings arising from the flames; above, rays of the rising sun and cross; the whole within a linear circle; around, ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ✶ ΠΟΛΙΤΕΙΑ αωκα' = 1821 in Greek alphabetic numerals. Rev. ΚΥΒΕΡΝIΤΗΣ Ι.Α. ΚΑΠΟΔΙΣΤΡΙΑΣ 1828᛫ (sic!) around a wreath of olive and laurel enclosing the denomination, 1 / ΛΕΠΤON in two lines. Chase 101a (A/a1). Divo -. Karamitsos T.1. KM Pn1. Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned with three olive leaves and palmette, round earring and pearl necklace. Rev. ΑΘΕ Owl standing right, head facing; behind, olive spray and crescent moon; all within incuse square. Kroll 8. SNG Copenhagen 31. Svoronos pl. 14, 13. Well-centered with a nice crest. Test cut and light scratches on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
