EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN. 4th century. (Glass, 24 mm, 1.55 g). Lion walking to left; above, crescent; all in relief on an opaque white disk with a rolled rim and suspension loop. Cf. Entwistle and P. Corby Finney, "Late Antique Glass Pendants in the British Museum," in C. Entwistle and L. James, eds. New Light on Old Glass. Recent Research on Byzantine Mosaics and Glass, London 2013, 54-6. Shorn along the bottom edge, but otherwise complete. Very fine.
