ΟΘΩΝ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ Mature head of Otho to left. Rev. 1/4 ΔΡΑΧΜΗ / 1855 Crowned shield bearing the coat of arms of Greece with the Wittelsbach arms at the center; all within an olive wreath with ties below. Divo 17b. Karamitsos 93a. KM 33. ISLANDS OFF ATTICA, Aegina. Circa 480-457 BC. Stater (Silver, 20 mm, 12.12 g, 8 h). Sea turtle, head in profile, with ‘T-back’ design on shell. Rev. Large square incuse with heavy skew pattern. Meadows Group IIIa. Milbank Period III, pl. I, 15. HGC 6, 435. Nicely centered. Banker's mark and a few random light scrapes, otherwise, good very fine.
