Pillet, plain edge and with a center hole. 5 / ΛΕΠΤΑ Owl standing facing on a Panathenaic amphora lying on its side; to right, olive branch; below, CH. PILLET; ΕSSAI, in tiny letters, in the upper right field. Rev. BAΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ / ΤΗΣ /ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ / 1912 in four lines; to right, the crown of the Kingdom of Greece. Divo -. Karamitsos T.78 (this coin, but not illustrated), KM E25. Extremely rare, only the second example known. Graded by NGC as "PF 63". Cert number: 2908902-006.

Histamenon (Gold, 24 mm, 4.39 g, 6 h), Constantinople. + ΙhS XIS REX REGNANTIhM Christ Pantocrator seated facing on throne, holding Gospels in his left hand and raising his right in blessing. Rev. Θ CE ΒΟΗΘ ΡωΜΑΝω / ΜΘ On the left, Romanus standing facing, wearing crown and loros (with four pellets in the end), holding globus cruciger with his left hand; on the right, the Virgin, nimbate and wearing robes, crowning the emperor with her right hand and holding maphorion in her left. DOC 1d. SB 1819. Spottiness on the obverse, the reverse somewhat softly struck, otherwise, good very fine.
