Venizelos, struck in an unknown private mint, from dies by Brulat, reeded edge. ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΟΣ ΒΕΝΙΖΕΛΟΣ Draped bust of Eleftherios Venizelos to left, set on laurel branch; below truncation, BRULAT. Rev. MIKPA ΑΣΙΑ ΘΡΑΚΗ ΚΥΠΡΟΣ ΔΩΔΕΚΑΝΗΣΑ •1919• The coat of arms of the Greek state set on the Byzantine double-headed eagle. KM M4. Particularly unusual and seldom offered with this die combination. With minor traces of mounting as usual, otherwise, extremely fine.

ILLYRIA. Dyrrhachion. Circa 80/70-60/55 BC. (Bronze, 12 mm, 1.25 g, 12 h), civic issue, struck under the magistrate Paterenos. Head of Herakles to left, wearing lionskin headdress. Rev. ΔYΡ / ΠATE / ΡHNOΣ Bow, club and quiver. Cf. Evans 9 in NC 1880 for type (different magistrate) and cf. Ceka 90 for magistrate (drachm). Very rare and probably unpublished. Minor marks, otherwise, nearly very fine.
