Countermarked on the host reverse with an oval indent containing a laureate and draped bust of George III above the denomination 25. Rev. Countermarked on the host obverse with a square indent containing the denomination 25. Karamitsos I.6b. KM 18. Lambros 18. Host Coin: Fair, Countermark: Good very fine. Graded by NGC "Fair 2". Cert number: 2909009-007.

THRACE. Chersonesos. Circa 386-338 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 13 mm, 2.30 g). Forepart of roaring lion to right, head turned back to left. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square with two opposite filled quadrants; in sunken quadrants, bee and monogram above pellet. HGC 3.2, 1437. Cf. McClean 4114-4116 (different arrangement of monogram and pellet). SNG Copenhagen 831. Lightly toned. Slightly porous and with a few scratches, otherwise, very fine.
