B /EPREUVE/ 100 .F. /1855 in four lines (retrograde). Reverse die, (35 mm, 16.92 g, 7 h). ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ, Crowned and mantled shield bearing the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Greece; below, 100 ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ; in the lower left field, ESSAI in tiny letters. CAPΔΙΑΝΩΝ B NEΩKOPΩN Tyche standing facing, head to left, wearing kalathos, holding rudder with her right hand and cornucopia over her left arm. RPC VI Online 4469 . Extremely Rare. The fourth and finest known example. Lovely black patina and with a pleasing portrait of Elagabalus. Very fine.
