Rev. 5 ΛΕΠΤΑ 1838 Denomination and date in three lines within a laurel wreath tied above and below. Divo 21e. Karamitsos 59. KM 16. Die fault on the reverse. Graded by NGC "XF details / rim damage". AITOLIA, Aitolian League. Circa 205-150 BC. (Bronze, 18.5 mm, 4.27 g, 1 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. ΑΙΤΩ/ΛΩΝ Herakles standing facing, looking right, with right hand supporting club set on ground, and holding lion's skin in left; above to left, monogram of ΣΤ; below right arm, monogram of ΠM. BCD Akarnania 584.41. HGC 4, 958. Tsangari Group 87c. Green patina. Flan flaw, otherwise, very fine.
