ΟΘΩΝ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ Youthful head of Otho to right; below truncation in tiny letters, K.Φ. Rev. 1/2 ΔΡΑΧΜΗ /1833 Crowned shield bearing the coat of arms of Greece with the Wittelsbach arms at the center; all within an olive wreath with ties below. Divo 14a. Karamitsos 94. KM 19. THRACO-MACEDONIAN REGION. Uncertain mint. Mid - later 5th century BC. Diobol (Silver, 10 mm, 0.98 g, 11 h). Scorpion, shown vertically. Rev. Dolphin swimming right, within a lozenge-shaped incuse square. Rosen 400, SNG Copenhagen 377 and SNG von Aulock 6664 (all as Asia Minor uncertain) and Tzamalis 6 (uncertain Northern Greece). Very rare and attractive. Good very fine.
