ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ ΤΩΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ / 1911 Elderly head of George I to left; below truncation, in tiny letters, Γ. ΙΑΚΩΒΙΔΗΣ; privy marks cornucopia (for the Mint Director) and torch (for the Engraver General, Henri-Auguste Patey, 1896-1930) flanking the date. Rev. ΔΙΔΡΑΧΜΟΝ Veiled Thetis, seated to left on a hippocamp swimming to right, holding, with her right hand, the shield of Achilles adorned with a facing gorgoneion, and resting her left oat her waist. Heaad of Athena to left, wearing ornate crested Attic helmet, the bowl decorated with a griffin; behind neck guard, O. Rev. YEΛHTΩN Lion right, devouring the head of a ram; above, Φ - Ι and cicada.
