KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 4.24 g, 1 h), struck under Antigonos I Monophthalmos, Lampsakos, c. 310-301. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on backless throne, holding eagle in his right hand and long scepter with his left; to left, KI monogram; below throne NO monogram. Price 1398. A well struck lustrous and clear example. Very fine.
