MACEDON. Thessalonica. Circa 187-168/7 BC. (Bronze, 25 mm, 15.79 g, 12 h). Laureate and bearded janiform head. Rev. ΘΕΣΣAΛΟΝΙΚΗΣ The Dioskouroi on horseback, facing opposite directions and holding lances; below, grain ear. SNG ANS 803. Particularly well struck for type; bold head of Janus; pleasant light green patina. Flan crack from striking at 2h, otherwise, about very fine.
