MACEDON. Neapolis. Circa 424-350 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 15 mm, 1.70 g, 11 h). Gorgoneion facing with protruding tongue. Rev. ΝΕΟΠ Head of the Nymph of Neapolis to right, her hair coiled around her head and with a bun at the back. SNG ANS 455-459. Toned. Flan cracks from striking, otherwise, good very fine.

From the BCD Collection, bought in Tbilisi (Georgia) in August 1998, found in the north-east coast of the black sea.
