LAKONIA. Lakedaimon (Sparta). Circa 48-35 BC. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 18 mm, 3.58 g, 1 h). Diademed and draped bust of Lakedaimon to right. Rev. Λ-A Eagle standing right with closed wings; to left, monogram; to right, ΦI. BCD Peloponnesos -. Grunauer XVI, 1, 15 (same dies). HGC 5, 630 var. (monogram). Attractive dark green patina. Minor pitting, otherwise, very fine.
