Geta, 209-211. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 31 mm, 21.67 g, 12 h), Rome, 211. P SEPTIMIVS GETA PIVS AVG BRIT Laureate bust of Geta to right, with slight drapery over far shoulder. Rev. VICT BRIT TR P III COS II / S C Victory, winged and draped, seated right on cuirass, inscribing shield. Banti 60. BMC 268. Cohen 210. RIC 172b. Rare; with a particularly attractive golden-brown tiber patina and a stylish and elegant portrait of the young emperor. Flan crack and with typically river-damaged surfaces, otherwise, good very fine.
