EGYPT. Alexandria. Antoninus Pius, 138-161. Drachm (Bronze, 25.71 g), year 10 = 146/147. AVT K T AIΛ AΔP ANTΩNEINOC CEB EYC Laureate head of Antoninus to right. Rev. L ΔEKATOY Zeus, holding patera and scepter, reclining left on eagle standing facing, with sp, head turned to left and a serpent in its talons. Dattari (Savio) 2933. Köln 1560. RPC IV online 13589. Fine red-brown patina, sharply struck and with a very detailed reverse. Some deposits on the reverse and usual flan cracks, otherwise, good very fine.

From thecollection of W. F. Stoecklin, bought from the famous shop of the Khawam Brothers in the Khan el-Khalili in Cairo in 1954.
