Claudius, 41-54. Cistophorus (Silver, 27 mm, 10.86 g, 6 h), Ephesus, 41-42. TI CLAVD CAES AVG Bare head left. Rev. COM ASI / ROM ET AVG Temple of Roma and Augustus. BMC 228. Cohen 3. RIC I 120. RPC 2221. Attractively toned. Scratch under the toning on the reverse, otherwise, nearly very fine.

From the collection of W.F. Stoecklin, Amriswil, Switzerland, acquired in the early 1950s from the estate of the late Dr. L. Naegeli of Zürich (died in 1951).
