THESSALY, Methylion. c. 465-460 BC. Obol (Silver, 9mm, 1.01 g 10). Horse’s head to left. Rev. ΜΕ - ΘV Barley grain in opening pod, shown upwards, diagonally placed in a shallow incuse square. BCD 1201 and Triton XV (BCD) 463.2 (same dies), otherwise, unpublished. Extremely rare, one of three or four known examples. Slightly rough surfaces, otherwise, good very fine.
