KINGS of MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26mm, 14.32 g 6), Amphipolis, struck under Philip III, 323/2 - c. 315. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Young jockey, holding palm branch and reins, riding horse to right; below horse, monogram of ΤΕ and Λ. Le Rider pl. 45, 15-16. SNG ANS 643. A spectacular piece struck on a very broad flan, bold and beautifully centered. Good extremely fine.
